Benefits of The Corton Design
Most horse stalls available in the US today have a steel frame consisting of a single sheet of steel bent in a U-shape to hold the boards. Some of the better stalls available have the U welded on top of a rectangular steel tube for better stability of the frame. However, those designs are less than ideal. The single wall U-shape is easily bent from a kick, and the welds from adding the U shape onto the rectangular steel tube – apart from being unattractive – are weak points for breaking and corrosion. The unique Corton frame solves those issues by using a single tube of steel that allows the wood boards to sit in a double-walled profile, making it much stronger than the single walled U-shape. The rounded, rolled edges are not only helping to prevent injuries or horse shoes getting caught, but also add a lot more structural stability to the frame and do not bend as easily. By using a single piece of steel, excessive welding and weak spots are avoided. This smart design is one of the reasons why Corton horse stalls are the most durable stalls on the market today.
